Seattle First Baptist Church

our location & facilities

SFBC’s facilities are a cornerstone of our commitment to our community.

Located centrally at the edge of the First Hill and Capitol Hill neighborhoods, our interconnected buildings serve as a hub for worship, gathering, and outreach.

SFBC is more than just a Sunday morning destination; it is a beacon of hope and a gathering place for all. We are proud to open our doors and share our facilities with our neighbors, building relationships and supporting efforts that make a positive impact locally and around the world.

our  spaces  & partners

The historic Sanctuary building, with its cornerstone laid in 1910 and first service in 1912, has been lovingly maintained and renovated over the years. It features a beautiful chapel, stunning stained-glass windows, and a historic Aeolian-Skinner organ, all contributing to a space that inspires reverence and community.
Adjacent to the Sanctuary is the Administration and Education building, accessible from either the first or second floors via ramped hallways. Constructed in the 1950s, this building’s design reflects the practical architectural style of its time, providing essential spaces for church operations and educational programs.
Our third building, originally the Minor Hospital in 1906 and acquired by SFBC in 1926, now houses several partner ministries and non-profit organizations. This building embodies our mission of service, offering space to initiatives that align with our values of justice, compassion, and community support.
